About UsUHRA is the residential governing body dedicated to serving the community of University Hall, part of the NYU community at Union Square. Our community has approximately 600 residents. We work closely with the Inter-Residence Hall Council, in serving the larger NYU residential community. UHRA has weekly meetings open to all residents, 9:30 C-Lounge on Mondays. At these meetings we strive to bring programming and activities that will both educate and entertain those who will participate. We encourage all residents to participate in any of our events and to attend meetings.
Community CompactThe following is our mission statement created by members of the U-Hall community. It outlines the goals we work towards and foundations upon which we attempt to build. We, the community of University Hall, are dedicated to creating a safe and supportive environment for all of our members through trust, respect, and open communication. We believe in encouraging a fun and creative atmosphere, and as a group, we are committed to building our community upon a foundation of cooperation, understanding, diversity, and common sense. At the same time, we keep in mind the importance of a sense of humor, flexibility, optimism, and enthusiasm. In doing so, we hope to foster a place in which all members of our community will be able to learn, to expand their horizons, and to express themselves comfortably and constructively. |
